The ige-icebreaker mailing list has been created to allow a meeting over a drink, generally from 5pm until the time you wish in one of the bars on campus (Martin's Café or EVE) open to all in order to:

1. meet each other, get to know each other, mix between all the members of the IGE (Glacio, MCP, OSUG-B, INRAe, scientists, non-scientists, permanent, non-permanent…)
2. exchange and discuss freely about science or not science but always with patience
3. have a good time at the end of the week with colleagues.

Originally, this meeting took place on Fridays, but with the home office days, the 80 %, the field missions, the carpools on Fridays for those who live far away, etc., we propose to transform the “friday beer” into a “thursday beer” in order to reach the greatest number of IGE's members.

By subscribing to the ige-icebreaker mailing list: https://listes.univ-grenoble-alpes.fr/sympa/info/ige-icebreaker. This implies that every Thursday you accept an email announcement like “Thursday Beer / EVE (or Martin's Café) / 5:30 pm” (without further details because everything is already said in the object)

So you know that there will be one or more colleagues at EVE or Martin's that day from 5.30 pm onwards, and you can also suggest to your co-workers, your office mate, or floor neighbours etc. to come along.

Then you come when you want and if you want/can or not on that day. (Note: Martin's closes at 8pm, EVE closes at 11pm)
